Anyone who has travelled through an airport with children knows the particular dread of the words “family room.”
In practice it usually means one room, one bed, and a mattress wheeled in at bedtime. The children go to sleep at eight. The adults sit in the dark whispering until they give up and go to sleep too. Nobody rests properly, and the next morning everyone is worse off than when they arrived.
Our Premium Suite is two separate bedrooms. That distinction sounds small written down and makes an enormous difference at ten at night.

What to Check Before Booking a Family Room Near the Airport
Worth asking of any hotel, not just ours.
Is it genuinely more than one room?
“Sleeps 4” can mean a two-bedroom suite or a double bed with a folding cot in the corner. Ask directly how many separate rooms there are, and what the sleeping arrangement is in each.
What counts as a child?
This varies far more than people expect. Some hotels count anyone over five as an adult, which changes the price considerably. Ask for the age threshold before you book, not at the desk.
Is the extra bed charge published?
If a hotel won’t tell you the extra bed rate upfront, you’ll find out at check-out. Any hotel that has thought about family guests will have a published figure.
How far is it really?
“Near the airport” covers a wide range. With tired children and luggage, the difference between five minutes and forty-five is the whole evening.
Does the transfer cover everyone?
Family-sized groups and family-sized luggage don’t always fit the standard arrangement. Worth confirming when you book rather than discovering at arrivals.
The Premium Suite
620 sq ft · Two bedrooms · Sleeps 4 · Private balcony · Walk-in shower
Two separate bedrooms means children can go to bed at a sensible hour while the adults stay up. It also means a family of four isn’t negotiating over one bathroom and one light switch.
Each suite has free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a 43-inch LED TV with all channels, a minibar and snack basket, a tea/coffee maker and an in-room safe. Rates start from INR 7,500 + taxes and are available on EP (room only) or CP (with breakfast) — worth choosing deliberately if you have early risers.
Our Standard Suite is 420 sq ft with a queen bed, sleeping two — fine for a couple with a baby, but the Premium is the one built for four. Both are on the Stay & Dine page.
Our Policies, Plainly
Children under 6 stay free using existing bedding.
Extra bed: ₹1,500 + taxes per night. Published here so it isn’t a surprise at check-out.
Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available on request — useful for families travelling with grandparents as well as those who need step-free access.
Check-in from 2:00 PM, check-out by 12:00 noon, with early check-in and late check-out subject to availability. Worth requesting in advance if you’re arriving on a morning flight with small children, because the alternative is several hours in a lobby.
Why Four Kilometres Matters More With Children
We are around 4 km from Cochin International Airport — roughly five minutes by road.
With adults that’s a convenience. With a four-year-old who has just sat through a flight, it’s the difference between a manageable evening and a difficult one. There’s no long drive at the end, no traffic to sit through, and nobody has to be woken up twice.
Airport pickup and drop-off is complimentary for our guests. Share your flight details when you book and our team coordinates it — one less thing to arrange while counting heads at the baggage belt.
If you’re flying out early the next morning, our guide to staying near Cochin airport before an early flight covers how to make a pre-dawn departure less painful. And if you’re between flights rather than staying on, what to do with a long layover at Cochin airport may be more useful.
What’s On Site
Aquariz, our rooftop pool, looks out over the airport — which, for most children, is its own entertainment. Planes landing a few kilometres away tend to hold attention longer than anything else on the property.
Vibranz, our multi-cuisine restaurant, means you don’t have to find somewhere to eat with tired children at nine in the evening. There’s also a 24-hour coffee shop at lobby level, which matters more than it sounds when somebody wakes up hungry at an unhelpful hour.
There’s also a spa and Arc Fitness Centre for whichever adult gets the hour off. Everything is on the Facilities page.
Nearby, With Children in Mind
If you’re building a few days around the stay rather than just passing through:
Kodanad Elephant Sanctuary — 22.8 km, about 38 minutes. The closest major attraction, and the one that usually works best with children.
Athirapally Waterfalls — 41.6 km, about 1 hour 16 minutes. A straightforward day trip, and dramatic enough to hold attention.
Thattekad Bird Sanctuary — 47.7 km, about 1 hour 18 minutes. Better for older children with some patience, and best early in the morning.
Distances and drive times for everything within reach are on the Attractions page.
